Why Alpine Exploratory

Alpine Exploratory is a system of knowledge on the best mountain trekking in our areas, giving clients superb holidays based on this exploration. Alpine Exploratory is different:

Alpine Exploratory's aim is to offer the most accurate, the most up-to-date and the most helpful materials available, on each of our routes... allied to the best service. We work towards this goal by hiking our trails on a regular basis, in many cases more than annually.

All Alpine Exploratory People travel once a year to one of our Alpine or Scandinavian treks, and once a year to one of our UK treks. (We are a great place to work!)

The Exploratory System

Much of our days are spent emailing with our enquirers, our clients and our hotels. We enjoy this process and it helps us to get the details right as we organise your trip. Please ask us any questions, as we help you to find the approach to the trek that suits you. We do not seek to cut short or avoid this necessary process.

Alpine Exploratory takes pride in running its own affairs. With the exception of the taxi or transfer companies who help us to offer baggage transfer, and of course the hotels, Alpine Exploratory runs everything. We manage all aspects of your trip from our office in Edinburgh, UK. We do not subcontract.

On a guided trip, your leader is a freelance employee of Alpine Exploratory. All of our leaders are International Mountain Leaders (IMLs).

Our People know your name and your requirements. We keep your details in our spreadsheet and our office is abuzz, all day long, with yours and others' arrangements.
