🦠 Covid-19 information
Europe this Summer: What you need to know

COVID-19 UPDATE

Our first and foremost priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of our customers. We are closely monitoring the situation and we will be in touch if any changes need to be made to your holiday.

In light of the current UK government advice, we have made the decision to postpone all trips with departures up to and include 21 July 2020. If you are due to travel before 21 July 2020, you should have received an email from us with details of the options available to you.

As a UK company, we are bound by the travel advice issued by the UK government within the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). If the FCO advises against 'all but essential travel' to your hiking destination, at a point 8 weeks before your trip, we will be in touch with the options available and details of the next steps. If the FCO still advises against 'all but essential travel' at a point 6 weeks before your trip, we will sadly have to cancel your trip.

If the FCO is not restricting travel to your destination 6 weeks prior to departure, we will do our best to run your trip planned and will inform you of any changes that will need to be made. For more information on current travel restrictions and likely changes to trips in 2020, please visit our Travel to Europe in 2020 information page.

Thank you for your patience and for all the support we’ve received so far - it is really appreciated!

New bookings for 2021 - Book now, Pay later

Dreaming about travel in 2021? So are we and we're taking bookings now!

We are now taking bookings for 2021 with no deposit payment required on new holiday bookings until 30 September 2020.
ADDITIONAL FLEXIBILITY FOR 2020 TRIPS

We understand and share our customers' concerns around the COVID-19 situation and travel restrictions in place. We understand that for some, travel in 2020 might not be for you (even if we can run your trip) so we welcome you to get in touch to discuss your options.

We are pleased to let you know you can transfer your booking 2021 or 2022 free of charge. To reschedule your trip, please just email us. Here are some of the options available to our 2020 clients:

1. Reschedule your trip to new dates in 2021
We can transfer your booking and deposit to your new chosen dates within our 2021 season, at no additional cost to you. We will also fix your holiday costs at our 2020 prices as a 'thank you' from us for sticking with us! Get in contact if you'd like to reschedule your trip.

2. Reschedule your trip to any date (or trip) in 2021 or 2022
In order to provide you with more flexibility, we can transform your deposit into holiday credit with us. This credit will be the equivalent of 100% of your money paid to date which you can put towards any of our holidays between 1 September 2020 and 16 September 2022. We will also fix your holiday costs at our 2020 prices as a 'thank you' from us for sticking with us and we will do this free of charge!

3. Transfer to a different trip in 2020
We hope that some of our trips can run this summer and if you'd simply like to explore an alternative trip option e.g. a new holiday destination or a route with more hotels and less huts, we'd love to help facilitate this. Just ask us for more details or recommendations.

4. Reschedule your UK trip to September or October 2020
We are also pleased to announce that we have now extended our UK season until 4 October 2020. Let us know your new dates and let us do the rest!

To reschedule your trip, please do get in touch with the team at info@alpineexploratory.com

Thanks for your patience!
