Introduction

This privacy policy explains how Alpine Exploratory treats your personal information when you use this website. If any details of this policy change, we will update this page accordingly.

When we collect information

We collect information from you when you subscribe to our email newsletter (eNews) or Holiday Update emails, ask us questions on our Enquiry form, make a booking using our Booking form, give us insurance and contact information on our Pre-trip form, order kit on our Kit form, make card payments using our Payments form, and fill in our Questionnaire after your trip.

What we do with your personal information

For eNews and Holiday Update subscriptions we share your email address and (if you wish to enter them) your first and last names with our email provider in order to send you these emails. We will send you nothing except the emails to which you have subscribed.

For enquiries we will use your information to reply to your questions and comments.

For bookings and pre-trip information, we will use your information for internal administration of your booking. We need to give certain information to our partners (e.g. hotels) in order to run your trip; we will give only the information needed.

For kit orders, we will use your contact details to post your merchandise to you.

For payments, all of your card information is handled by Barclaycard on its own pages to which we refer you, and is not seen by us.

For questionnaires we will use your information to improve our trips and to reply to you about any problems. We would only put your comments on our website with your permission.

We will not send you emails unless you ask to receive them. We will not give your details to any third party unless required to by law, unless needed to send eNews and Holiday Updates, or unless needed to run your holiday. We might use any information for our internal analysis.

Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of information which are stored on your computer's hard drive. Our website currently uses cookies for one purpose, which is to tell us if any bookings have come from our adverts on Google. As well as this, cookies might be used by the Barclaycard pages to which you are sent if paying by card.

Security

We aim to protect your personal information and privacy. We do not guarantee the security of any information that you disclose online and you do so at your own risk. You acknowledge that you are aware of security and privacy limitations inherent in using the internet.
