Are you planning to visit the Julian Alps, perhaps for a hut-to-hut tour? Let our Julian Alps Starter Pack point you in the right direction.

Alpine Exploratory books your first and last nights' accommodation, near Lake Bohinj at the foot of the mountains and easily reached from Ljubljana. We supply you with the local maps covering the relevant areas of the Triglav National Park. We send you our detailed notes with contact details for the huts in the area; our notes also cover local logistics, your accommodation bookings, communications and more. We also include our Slovene language card and an Emergency Card with phone numbers and advice.

Once you've arrived you can begin your trek into the mountains. Link up each night's hut following any paths that take your fancy from the network of signposted trails. The scope for exploration is huge. Away from the main routes, plenty of minor paths take you to quiet spots in the hills. Look out for small, climbable peaks and tranquil meadows hidden in the woods.

Your accommodation for your first and last nights is in a family-run 4-star hotel in Ribcev Laz. In the main body of your holiday you're free to book and pay for your own accommodation in the mountain huts.
