Please contact us any time for our 2010 valley-based trips to the Julian Alps. Our season runs from May to October, a longer span than for our hut-to-hut treks in Slovenia.
The Julian Alps of Slovenia contain some of the most charming mountain scenery in Europe. This holiday explores the valley walking in the Lake Bohinj area.
The area around Lake Bohinj contains great potential for walking. Follow a good path to Slap Savica, one of the majestic waterfalls in the area. Explore the meadows beyond the Vojah hut, or climb up through the forests to the small hill of Rudnica (946m) with its brilliant views of Lake Bohinj and surrounding villages. One easy walk makes the whole circuit of Lake Bohinj on forest and lakeside paths.
Our aim is to let you walk how you want to walk - as much or as little as you choose. We supply you with routecards and the local Slovenian maps. Whole or half-day walks can be combined with seeing the local sights and perhaps the town of Bled, an easy bus ride down the valley. This is also a trip that can be taken outside the main summer season, from Spring to Autumn.
Your accommodation is in a family-run 4-star hotel in the village of Ribcev Laz. It's a comfortable and welcoming base from which to see the Bohinj area.
