Latest news May 2010
Please contact us to chat about the French Tarentaise in 2010. Our season starts in June and is slightly longer than the season in our other Alpine areas.

The Alps come alive in the summer. The meadows fill with wild flowers, the cattle and sheep move up to their lush high pastures, and the villages become centres for people enjoying the outdoor lifestyle. Come and enjoy life as it is lived in the Tarentaise region of the French Alps.

This trip stays in a superbly friendly, comfortable and well-positioned chalet. It sleeps up to 10 people; book the whole chalet or come in smaller numbers. The chalet is an old timber and stone building in the centre of an old farming hamlet, near to Bourg St. Maurice in the Tarentaise. The Vanoise National Park and the Beaufortain hills are nearby.

From the dining table there are distant views to Mont Blanc - and the large open lounge is the place to relax after dinner and plan the day ahead. Your hosts know all about the local area and the things to do. Over successive seasons they have made sure that guests have a smooth and relaxing holiday. Together we ease your path to all the activites in the area, advising you and making bookings for you.

Walking the Alpine paths is one special pleasure of the summer. Your holiday includes routecards that take you on some of the region's easy walks, reaching scenic viewpoints, high mountain lakes and old-fashioned hamlets.

Each day you can choose a walk or an activity such as mountain biking, rafting, swimming, canoeing, golf, or adventure high-ropes courses in the trees. Of course, you might prefer just to do nothing, relaxing with a book from the chalet's intriguing library and enjoying the long views from the balcony.
