Chamonix Mountain Walking Guided Walking Holiday
+ Huge Alpine views from clear trails
+ Great valley facilites and activities
+ Come as a group of friends or family
The Chamonix valley makes a superb base for a walking holiday. The backdrop of Mont Blanc, at 4,808m the highest peak in Western Europe, is present throughout. Some of the most famous views reachable by Alpine walking are sited above the valley.
Each day, set off in your group on a walk led by your fully qualified International Mountain Leader. Climb to a viewpoint over the Mer de Glace or Glacier d'Argentiere, walk part of the Grand Balcon Sud with views across the valley to the Mont Blanc peaks, or climb a summit such as Le Brevent, Aiguillette des Posettes or Le Prarion for panoramic views of the mountains.
The base for this holiday is the quiet village of Argentiere, up the valley from Chamonix. There is a buzz in the whole valley during the summer season as it becomes a base for mountaineering adventures. This trip gets your group to the heart of the area's excellent walking and gives you an insight into the local life. Expert guidance will make the most of your time in the valley.
Choose from two types of accommodation in Argentiere: a welcoming, family-run 2-star hotel, or a luxurious chalet. Many other places to stay are also available.

Tweak your trip
Fancy a longer or shorter trip - perhaps a long weekend? A luxury hotel in the centre of Chamonix or in a tiny village? A two-centre trip with bases in Les Houches, Chamonix or elsewhere? More emphasis on shorter, flatter walks? One option is to combine some time based in the Chamonix valley with a short trek; anything from an overnight in a hut to a trek of 4 or more days. Let us know what your group would like and we'll do all we can to arrange it.
