Our times

May 2013
We are in as normal and enjoying the first weeks of our UK season which started on 1st April. Please contact us any time.

We're in from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday, UK time (GMT). Please call us any time. If we're not in then please leave a message, or send us an email, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. Thank you.

For our enquirers overseas
We're 5 hours ahead of New York and 8 hours ahead of Vancouver, so for our North American enquirers a call in your morning will catch us in our afternoon. For our Australasian enquirers, we are 11 hours behind Sydney and 13 hours behind Auckland, so an evening call can work!

Our base in Settle

We are based in Settle, a market town in the North of England on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Local walking
The Pennine Way passes near to Settle in an arc from Malham to Horton-in-Ribblesdale. The Coast to Coast runs further into the Dales, and the Lake District is not far away.

Settle is in Three Peaks country, down the Ribble valley from the local hill Pen-y-ghent. The famous challenge is to climb Pen-y-ghent and its neighbours Ingleborough and Whernside in one walk.

Outdoor equipment
Settle makes a good hub for outdoor explorations and supports two well-stocked outdoor shops, each of which kindly offers a discount to Alpine Exploratory clients.
